The binding has a body with a base (21) made in plastics material. This is reinforced by two side plates (23,24) joined by an upper plate (29) which are made in metal. These fit over the body and extend between the axis of articulation of the binding and the runners (36). The lower part of the reinforcing has horizontal edges (31,32) which are engaged along the lateral edges of the runner. The horizontal edges of the side plates (33,34) are covered with anti-friction material and extends continuously from the runners.
