Automotive starter switch

The switch (1) is combined with an ignition switch, having a rotor with coupling for the rotary driving pin of a steering lock cylinder. It is detachable from the steering lock housing. It slides on guides (11) on the steering-lock housing (8) at right angles to the axis of the lock cylinder (9). The driving pin (10) can be inserted in the coupling (3) after the switch has been inserted in the housing. The guides can be formed by shoulders on the switch housing (2) and behind which the steering-lock housing engages. These form a stop preventing the switch being pulled off in the axial direction.
