The mop head is squeezed out through a screen bowl (4) which has a central pressure member (7) whereby a pressing chamber (8) for the mop (3) is formed between the pressure member and wall (5) of the screen bowl. The pressure member can be mounted at the bottom of the screen bowl or form an inwardly curved part of same. The pressure member also has screen holes. The pressure member is height adjustable in the bowl and can be held in the upper end position resiliently by springs.
