<p>An information transmitting method by which a bit string can be decoded normally even when an error occurs in such important information as header information by imparting an error resistance to the bit string itself. The bit string reconstituting circuit (107) of an encoder adds a synchronizing signal to the first part of an encoded data string in units of a certain fixed bit string encoded by an encoding circuit (103) and, thereafter, inserts instruction information into the bit string by using an instruction information inserting circuit (106). This instruction information represents the addition of information for restoring important header information, and the instruction information is inserted into the bit string. Therefore the information for restoration can be added to the encoded data string. Further, even when the header information cannot be used for decoding due to an error mixed in the header information, the decoding can be continued normally by using the new information for restoration represented by the instruction information in place of the header information.</p> |
