LIQUID ABSORBENT CORE FOR THERMAL TRANSPIRATION

A liquid absorbent core for use in thermal transpiration wherein a part of the core is immersed in a liquid chemical and heated at its portion different from the immersed portion to effect transpiration of the absorbed chemical, characterized in that the core contains a surfactant (the content of the surfactant being usually 0.1 to 20 % by weight based on the total weight of the core). The core has an excellent liquid absorbency and does not suffer from deterioration in the absorbency even after being used for a long period of time, thus permitting the chemical to be stably transpired.
