The plastic trunking (1), produced in modular lengths, with 90 deg projecting and reentrant corner pieces, is C-shaped in section, with the back fixed to the wall foot, and top and bottom wings. The open front is covered by clip-on lids (2). Parallel metal strips (3), providing bare phase (P), neutral (N) and earth (T) conductors, run horizontally along the inside back, embedded or adhesive-fixed. Butt-jointed modules have corresponding conductors connected by fish-plates. Odd lengths are simply sawn off standard modules. Opt., the trunking is horizontally partitioned to segregate different electrical or other circuits. Standard socket outlets, mounted on short lid lengths, are fitted wherever required; their contacts have sprung rear extensions pressing against the trunking conductor faces.
