Gland structure for liner bag used to transport bulk liquids

The gland structure comprises a gland and a cap. The gland is a one-piece moulding of a synthetic plastics material including a sleeve defining a filling passage and a flange protruding outwardly from the sleeve. The flange is welded to a liner bag in use and there is an external groove extending around the sleeve for receiving the cams of a hose attachment fitted over the sleeve. An interengaging device releasably attaches the cap to the sleeve to close the entrance to the filling passage. A loop is included on the gland and is connected to the sleeve at one end and to the flange at the other and protrudes outwardly beyond a cylindrical bounding wall of the cap.
