<p>This invention relates to compounds which possess immunosuppressive and/or anti-tumor and/or antiinflammatory activity in vivo and/or inhibit thymocyte proliferation in vitro. These compounds are therefore useful in the treatment of transplantation rejection, autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes mellitus, multiple sclerosis and in the treatment of Candida albicans infections and also in treatment of diseases of inflammation. These compounds as represented by formula (I) where Y is a group selected from the groups (a), (b), (c) or (d), wherein X is selected from hydroxy, -OR1, -SO2Ar, -SO2R1, N3, -OAr, -NH(C=O)Ar, -NH(C=O)R1, -NH(C=O)NR2R3, -NHCN, I, Cl, F, Br, -SCN, or 1,2,3-triazole optionally substituted with methoxycarbonyl and R1-R5 are as defined herein.</p> |
