Shampoo compositions

A shampoo composition comprising: (a) from about 1 % to about 60 % by weight of surfactant selected from anionic surfactant, nonionic, amphoteric and cationic surfactants and mixtures thereof; (b) from about 0.001 % to about 10 % by weight of liquid polyol carboxylic acid ester containing at least four acid ester groups wherein the polyol moiety is selected from sugars and sugar alcohols containing from about 4 to about 12 hydroxyl groups, and wherein each carboxylic acid moiety has from about 8 to about 22 carbon atoms and wherein the liquid polyol carboxylic acid ester has a complete melting point of less than about 30 DEG C; (c) from about 0.001 % to about 4 % by weight of nonionic polyethylene glycol polymers having the general formula: -H(OCH2CH2)nOH wherein n is an average value of ethoxylation in the range of from about 1000 to about 25,000; and (d) water. The shampoo compositions of the invention are valuable for the provision of improved in-use attributes, such as, ease of rinsing, wet hair feel and improved after-use attributes such as, hair softness, hair shine, hair volume, manageability and long lasting clean hair feel; as well as good rinsibility, lather volume and cleansing characteristics.
