Scissor linkage for vehicle lifting platform

The scissor linkage (10,20) arms (11,12,21,22) are diverged in addition to the cylinder drive (30,31) by an air bellows (40,41) arranged between the linkage arms. The bellows stroke is limited by an arm (42,43) which is arranged at the scissor pivot joint (50,51) and bears on the free end of the bellows in conjunction with an endstop. The bellows comprises two sections (40a,40b) and is sited halfway between the pivot joint and the respective arm end so as to lie between the arms. The cylinder and the bellows are thus arranged between the linkage arms which in turn are adjustably mounted at their ends. The load area consists of two drive-on ramps (1,2) each with its own scissor linkage. The superposed bellows sections complete the full lift height and additional drive-on plates (60) are provided to facilitate ramp access by the vehicle. The cylinders complete the lifting action with the vehicle fully on the ramp.
