The cable consists of two identical multi-strand copper wires (2) encased in two layers of insulated cladding. Each wire (2) is encased in an individual insulation layer (3), before the outer layer (4) is added to make a "flat" cable. One face of the cable has double-sided adhesive tape (7) along its entire length. One adhesive layer (8) is fixed to the cable. The other layer (6) has a "peel-off" strip of paper or plastic to protect it until it is ready to be installed.
