Use of the following groups of compounds or their compositions for the preparation of medicaments for the treatment of urinary incontinence, such compounds having general formula: A-X1-NO2 or their salts, where A = R(COX)t and where t is an integer 0 or 1; X = O, NH, NR1C, where R1C is a linear or branched alkyl having from 1 to 10 C atoms; R is (IA) where t = 1 and X1 is equal to -YO- where Y is a C1-C20 alkylene, C5-C7 cycloalkyl or oxyalkyl derivatives.
