PURPOSE:To obtain the grain-oriented silicon steel plate having uniform and excellent magnetic characteristic and surface property by rough-rolling a silicon steel slap having a specified composition while specifying the rolling temp. and draft at the first pass and final pass and hot-rolling and annealing the steel. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel slab contg., by weight, 0.01-0.08% C, 2.5-4.0% Si, 0.03-0.10% Mn, and 0.01-0.05% of >=1 kind among S, Se and Al is treated as follows. Namely, the slab is heated, and then rough-rolled while controlling the rolling temp. T1 to >=1350 deg.C and the draft (R1%) to 60>=R1(%)>=-0.2T1+300 at the first pass, and controlling the rolling temp. T2 to >=1200 deg.C and the draft (R2%) to 70>=R2(%)>=-0.1T2+165 at the final rolling pass. The rough-rolled steel plate is hot-rolled, and then subjected to one cold rolling or 2 cold rollings including process annealing. As a result, the merit of a hot strip mill is utilized to the utmost, and a grain-oriented silicon steel plate having the above- mentioned characteristics is stably obtained. |
