Process for the preparation of surfactant containing solids using microwave radiation

A method for the preparation of moulded articles containing surfactants and/or aromatic substances by exposing powdered or granular components, at least some of which are hydrated, to microwave radiation at a frequency of 3-300,000 MHz comprises the use of a microwave-transparent material mould with perforated walls for the radiation treatment step. Moulds used for this method, containing perforations with a diameter of 0.1-1 mm that make up at least 15 % of the mould surface area, are also claimed.
