PLASTICIZED POLYESTER FOR SHRINKABLE FILM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a blend of a polyester with a plasticizer useful for a thermally shrinkable film or sheet for a package shrinkable at a low temperature. SOLUTION: This heat-shrinkable film or sheet comprises a blend of (A) 90-99 wt.% polyester having 40-150 deg.C glass transition temperature and 0.5-1.2dL/g inherent viscosity with (B) 1-10wt.% plasticizer selected from 5-35C monoglycerides obtained by reacting glycerol with a 4-30C fatty acid (with the proviso that the total weight of components A and B is 100wt.%). The polyester is composed of 100mol% dicarboxylic acid and 100mol% diol, the dicarboxylic acid component comprises at least 80mol% repeating unit derived from a 8-14C aromatic dicarboxylic acid and the diol component comprises at least 10mol% repeating unit derived from 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol.
