PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion device which can supply a.c. output to a load even if a switch element with high withstand voltage and for inverting polarity is eliminated, is easy to be controlled, and of which a circuit can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: Two main switch elements S1 , S2 are connected in series with a d.c. electric power source E, capacitors of switched capacitor circuits SC1 , SC2 are charged to the electric source voltage through the main switch elements S1 , S2 , and optional number of these capacitors are connected in series to give step voltage output of the electric source voltage. A load Z is connected in series with the switched capacitor circuits SC1 , SC2 having mutually inverse polarity. In the case electric power is supplied to one polarity of the load Z, one switched capacitor circuit SC1 is utilized and in the case electric power is supplied to the other polarity of the load Z, the other switched capacitor circuit SC2 is utilized, so that the load output is made to be alternative waveform. |
