PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a color thermal transfer recording medium capable of transferring ink with even transfer rate without being affected by an alteration or the like of the calorific power of a heat transfer heat and having a good reproduction of gradation. SOLUTION: The color thermal transfer recording medium is formed such that heat-melt transfer ink layers 3, 4, 5 colored in at least magenta, cyan, and yellow respectively are provided on one surface of a base 2 in the longitudinal direction of the base 2 and, basides, and intermediate layer 6 is provided between the melting heat transfer ink layers and the base 2, wherein a softening point of the heat-melt transfer ink layers 3, 4, 5 is in the range of 50-150 deg.C, and a melting point of the intermediate layer 6 is in the range of 50-150 deg.C. |
