PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maleimide copolymer having excellent heat resistance and impact resistance and good melt moldability. SOLUTION: This copolymer comprises 80.0-40.0wt.% units (A) derived from an aromatic vinyl monomer, 20.0-60.0wt.% units (B) derived from a maleimide monomer and units (C) derived from monomers copolymerizable therewith (the total amount of units A, B and C being 100.0wt.%) and contains at least 95wt.% molecules each of which has a unit B content in the range of the average value±10%.
