PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition of a hot-air vulcanization type slight in change of color by vulcanization, excellent in heat resistance, useful for wire-coating, by adding a specific acyl peroxide as a vulcanizing agent. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. of an organopolysiloxane of formula I [R is a (non)substituted monofunctional hydrocarbon; (a) is 1.90-2.05], (B) 5-100 pts.wt. of a finely powdery silica-based filler, (C) 0.1-5 pts.wt. of a compound containing a carbon atom double bond of formula II or a carbon atom triple bond (-C≡C-), having 80-1,000 molecular weigh and (D) 0.1-5 pts.wt. of an organic peroxide of formula III. Preferably, the component C is trimethylolpropane methacrylate, the component D is bis(4- methylbenzoy)peroxide and the composition further contains (E) 0.05-10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt of the component A of an organosilicon compound containing at least one hydrogen atom linked to a silicon atom in one molecule.
