PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new DNA having mutations, consisting of a double-stranded DNA having the same sequence as that of a part of a gene and a single-stranded DNA which locates in a discontinuous position with the same or does not locate on the gene and being shuffled by forming a protruding terminal. SOLUTION: This new DNA consists of a double-stranded DNA having the same sequence as that of a part of a gene and a single-stranded DNA having a base arrangement locating at a discontinuous position to the corresponding part of the above- mentioned double-stranded DNA or a base sequence which does not locate on the gene and the single-stranded DNA is connected to one terminal of the double-stranded DNA to form a protruding terminal. By using the new DNA, a DNA containing a different base sequence from a space of a natural base sequence or a mixture of the same is simply obtained, thus, gene products such as excellent proteins, enzymes, etc., can be obtained. This DNA is obtained by preparing the double-stranded DNA by using a part of the DNA as a template and a primer in a DNA polymerase reaction, removing ribonucleotide by enzyme, etc., and further removing nucleotide at 5' terminal side. |
