VACUUM FILM FORMING DEVICE FOR DEPOSITION OF REFLECTION FILM BY EVAPORATION ON OPTICAL BASE BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum film forming device which is capable of simultaneously and rapidly inverting all base bodies without interrupting the flow of vapor deposition and deposits reflection films by evaporation on the surfaces of optical base bodies, such as glass of plastic spectacles, mounted on supporting means existing above or below an exchangeable vapor deposition source in an evacuatable vacuum vessel. SOLUTION: The many supporting means are arranged in the radial direction around a circular supporting plate 23 and are formed by an inversion holder device 3 having inversion holders 21 respectively supported at revolving shafts 22 revolving occasionally at 180 deg.. The respective inversion holders 21 have means for holding the base bodies to be attached with the films on both sides or means for holding the two base bodies to be attached with the films on one side. Inverting means for simultaneously inverting all the inversion holders or turning all the inversion holders inside out are engaged with the inversion holders 21 or the revolving shafts 22.
