<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the prevention of the expansion of a recorded image, at the time of executing a consecutive recording and a reduction in a change in image power in a one-page recording paper, in an image recorder provided with a press roller driving system/on-demand type fixing unit, as an image fixing means. SOLUTION: In this image recorder, a recording paper is carried to an image forming part 9, to form an unfixed image corresponding to target image information and guided to a nip formed by a heating member and a press member of a fixing unit 10 having the heating member and the press member provided in contact with the heating member, from the image forming part 9, to be held/carried, so that the unfixed image is thermally fixed. In such a case, the image recorder is provided with a means for making a recording paper carrying speed variable and a means for counting the time of passing through at least one or more fixed positions in a path where the recording paper is carried, to change the carrying speed of the recording paper, based on the result of the counting.</p> |
