PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve various problems caused by incineration or dumping of the organic wastes and provided a method for converting the organic wastes into a resource by which inexpensive H2 is obtained and utilized for synthesis, etc., of NH3 . SOLUTION: This method for converting organic wastes (a) into a resource comprises converting a gas obtained by two-stage gasification of the organic wastes (a) in a fluidized bed gasifier 110 and a melting furnace 112 into H2 by operations such as a CO converting step 118 and using the resultant H2 as a raw material for synthesis, etc., of NH3 . In this case, the gasification is a combination of low-temperature with high-temperature gasifications. The fluidized bed gasifier 110 is used for the low- temperature gasification and the melting furnace 112 is used for the high-temperature gasification. The fluidized bed gasifier 110 used for the gasification is capable of gasifying the organic wastes (a) at 450-950 deg.C and the melting furnace is capable of gasifying chars and tars at a high temperature of >=1300 deg.C. Thereby, the chars and tars are gasified and ash is melted and converted into a slag, which is discharged from the furnace bottom. A residual gas obtained by separating hydrogen after the CO conversion is sued as a fluidizing gas and introduced into the fluidized bed gasifier 110. |
