PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the work for entering a sawed slice into a preservation element while quickening and to enhance the capability, efficiency, productivity and reliability of an apparatus operating for each slice by arranging a cutter to cut off a heel and placing each slice in an empty box for preservation element through a collection mechanism. SOLUTION: A block 1 supported while being cut into slices 2 held by a heel 3 on a disposable plate 4 secured to a cutting support 5 is moved by a feed motor 6 relative to a cutter 7 being driven through a motor 8. The slice 2 is dropped onto a conveyor 9 and placed in the slope 10 on a water cushion. A preservation element 11 contains the slice 2 in the empty box 12 thereof and moves in the direction substantially normal to the surface of the slope 10 along a pole 13 while being driven through a motor 14. The slice 2 is stripped in the normal direction from the heel 3 by means of the cutter 7 at the position of the disposable plate 4. According to the apparatus, the slice 2 can be cut and stripped accurately, quickly and reliably. |
