The fixture of the cord (3) to the room ceiling, is by a customary lamp hook. Its stageless adjustment is achieved with a cord brake (1). This allows the book support to be placed in each position. The book support plate (2) measures approximately 350 x 350 mm and has left, right and lower strips measuring approximately 7 x 17 mm (3), which prevent the book slipping.
