Method for finishing paint=covered wooden surfaces

The paint finish which is to be chip-proof is artificially aged by feeding pellets of CO2 - dry ice - in a spray plant into a gas stream which is fed to the spray nozzle and directed onto the surface to be treated. The CO2 pellets are pulverised between the supply container and the spray nozzle. The pellets can be pulverised by the inner side roughened structured surface of the hose between the spray plant and nozzle by passing over a deflection plate at the jet outlet of the nozzle and/or by installations inside the spray plant.
