PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mud material for iron tapping hole which is dense, has a small quantity of pores and can be smoothly packed while holding high viscosity even in the case of receiving high temp. in the high temp. iron tapping hole, by mixing a specific binder into a specific aggregate as the mud material for the iron tapping hole. SOLUTION: The mud material for the iron tapping hole is obtd. by mixing high viscous tar as the binder into the aggregate consisting essentially of agalmatolite, alumina, silica, etc. Sufficient and uniform packing into the iron tapping hole is obtd. by using the high viscous tar as the binder into the mud material. Particularly, since the plugging mud material becomes dense in structure, even in the case of using the mud material to blend low grade refractory, this mud material provides high erosion resistance and can improve the quality of durability and packing property, etc., and the workability in the low cost. |
