POROUS FILTER MEMBRANE AND MEMBRANE MODULE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous filter membrane capable of stably performing filtering treatment over a long period of time and excellent in durability and a membrane module using the filter membrane. SOLUTION: A porous filter membrane 1 consists of a porous synthetic resin membrane 2 and a reinforcing member 5 and a membrane module is obtained by arranging the porous filter membranes to both surfaces of a frame member. The porous synthetic resin membrane 2 has voids of 60-90% and a large number of pores with a pore size of 0.1-2.0μm and is pref. composed of ultra-high mol.wt. polyethylene with a mol. wt. of 5×105 to 7×106. As the reinforcing member, a perforated film (polyester film) or a fabric (polyester fabric) 5 with air permeability of 0.5-3.0cc/cm<2> /sec is pref. The reinforcing member is laminated to the porous synthetic resin film to be bonded thereto in a dot like, linear or reticulated state by an adhesive.
