COSMETIC AND/OR DERMAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING CROSS-LINKED POLY(2-ACRYLAMIDO-2-METHYLPROPANESULFONIC ACID) AND AT LEAST ONE ACTIVE INGREDIENT PRECURSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cosmetic and/or a dermal composition containing a specific cross-linked polymer and a specific active ingredient precursor and having a high stable viscosity with time at room temperature or high temperatures. SOLUTION: This cosmetic and/or the dermal composition contain a cross- linked poly(2-acrylamido-2-methylpropanesulfonic acid) whose 90% is neutralized, and an active ingredient precursor capable of being brought into contact with a horny layer to release an active ingredient by an enzymatic reaction in a medium. The polymer preferably contains units of formula I (X<+> is a cation) (in an amount of 90-99.9wt.% based on the whole amount of the polymer) and cross-linked units derived from at least one monomer having at least two olefinic double bonds, especially a compound of formula II (R1 is H, a 1-4C alkyl). The active carbon precursor is preferably e.g. a vitamin C phosphate derivative. The polymer and the active ingredient precursor are compounded in amounts of 0.01-20 pts.wt. and 0.01-10wt.%, respectively.
