PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyperoxide having a low melting point range and useful as a crosslinking agent for polymers such as natural rubber, polyethylene and polyisoprene by selecting the blending ratio of the para- and meta-isomers of the polyperoxide. SOLUTION: The blend of the para- and meta-isomers ofα,α'-bis(t- butylperoxy)diisopropylbenzene in a para-isomer/meta-isomer ratio of (approximately 0-32%)/(aproximately 68-100%), especially (approximately 0-30%)/(approximately 70-100%). The para-isomer and the meta-isomer are preferably blended in a ratio of approximately 22%/78%. The meta-isomer/para-isomer ratio of 3.5/1 is especially preferable. The polyperoxide exhibits a clearing point of below approximately 53 deg.C, especially approximately 44 deg.C. Further, the polyperoxide exhibits a haze free point of below approximately 39 deg.C, especially approximately 29 deg.C.
