PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the seam width with a simple action by providing a correction value input means for correcting the seam width and a means correcting the seam data based on the inputted correction value. SOLUTION: The sewing basic data for button hole darning are set when an operation panel 23 is operated, and a correction width D is added to the seam width of standard chrysanthemum hole darning, i.e., the rocking width W of a needle bar of the diameter of a chrysanthemum hole section. The rotation angle T corresponding to a half stitch is obtained. The X-Y coordinates using the center of the circular chrysanthemum hole section as the origin are assumed, and the needle location X(j), Y(j) of an inner needle, the rotation angleθ(j) of a needle bar, the needle location X(j), Y(j) of an outer needle, and the rotation angleθ(j) of the needle bar are obtained. The needle location data are stored in a seam data memory 38a. When sewing is started, an X- direction drive motor 30, a Y-direction drive motor 32, and aθ-direction drive motor 26 are synchronously driven based on the seam data for each stitch.
