PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass gel thin film forming device forming a glass gel thin film on the surface of a glass bottle at a desired production speed. SOLUTION: This device simultaneously holds plural glass bottles 10 at a chucking position A and a coating solution for forming gel thin films is applied on the glass bottles 10 at a coating solution applying position B. At a high-speed rotating position C, the glass bottles 10 applied with the coating solution are rotated at a high speed and excess parts of the coating solution are blown off by centrifugal force to adjust a film thickness to 0.1-2μm. The plural glass bottles 10 are simultaneously removed from a chucking removing position D and fed into a drier by a conveyor 7.
