Connecting cable (10), in particular for control units of powered support controllers in underground mining, having at least one optical waveguide (22a,b) with connecting elements (23) which are arranged at the ends and are connected to optoelectric transducers (20a,b) for transmitting data between the control units. The optoelectric transducers are potted in plug housings (13) at the cable ends and the housings are provided with electrical couplings (15) for connection to control units. Since the connection to the control units is effected only using electric contacts, the cable can be used instead of the previously known electric cables without re-equipping the control units. |
