SUBSTANCE: fragmentation warhead has a casing, explosive charge, matrix with ready-made injurious elements placed between them in the form of bodies of revolution located in a spaced relation to one another. A gap is formed between the casing and ready - made injurious elements, the gap accommodates a medium with a specific acoustic resistance lower than that of the material of the ready - made injurious element. The housing wall thickness makes up 0.1 to 0.6 of the diameter of the ready-made injurious element, whose length-to-diameter ratio is 0.8 to 2.4. At least between the radial projections of the ready-made injurious elements the casing is made of material allowing formation of zones of destruction under the action of jets of gaseous products of explosive charge detonation, for instance, of steel.
