PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the production of nonwashing rice simply by a dry method by a method in which at least one kind of starch or grain powder is gelatizized and extruded from the die of a high pressure granulator, an abradant obtained by crushing and grading the obtained material is mixed with polished rice, and the mixture is agitated to polish the polished rice. SOLUTION: An abradant is obtained by a method in which at least one kind of starch or grain powder is gelatinized and extruded from the die of a high pressure granulator, and the obtained material is crushed and graded. Rice powder, grain powder of barley etc., or bran of these are named as the grain powder to be used. Nonwashing rice is produced by using the obtained abradant. The abradant is mixed with polished rice, and the mixture is agitated for polishing to peel off and remove the bran left on the surface of the polished rice. After that, the polished rice is separated from the abradant. After the end of polishing, since the fine bran which is peeled off and separated from rice is contained in the separated abradant, it is preferable to reuse fine bran components after being separated and removed by a fine sieve. |
