摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject adhesive consisting essentially of an acrylate compound having a specific structure and a polymerization initiator, high in refractive index, excellent in adhesivity and moisture resistance, and low in curing contraction. SOLUTION: This adhesive for optical disks consists essentially of (A) an acrylate compound of formula I[R1 , R2 are each H, a 1-5C alkyl; R3 is (CH2 - CH2 -O)m-CH2 -CH2 , a group of formula II; R4 is H, methyl; (n) is 1-21; (m) is 1-5] e.g. 9,9-bis[4-(3-acryloxy-2-hydroxypropoxy) phenyl]fluorene} and (B) a polymerization initiator. The component A is obtained e.g. by thermally melting a diphenol compound and epichlorohydrin and subsequently reacting the obtained epoxy component with (meth) acrylic acid. When the objective adhesive is photocured, a photopolymerization initiator such as benzophenone may be used as the component B. When the objective adhesive is thermally cured, a thermal polymerization initiator such as a ketone peroxide may be used as the component B.
