PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive filter for artifact reduction by providing the special arithmetic unit of the form of one or plural processors PROC, a median filter ASIC MAS, an on-arc picture element averaging ASIC WAS and two memories DAT and ADR. SOLUTION: In order to obtain an adaptive image filter for the artifact reduction, a special hardware is provided. The special hardware is composed of the processor PROC, the median filter ASIC MAS, the on-arc picture element averaging ASIC WAS and the two memories that are DAT and ADR. The ASIC MAS and the ASIC WAS are programmed, controlled and monitored by the processor PROC. The processor PROC processes calculation so as to support both ASICs and both ASICs access the result through an SP bus. Calculated values by the processor PROC are respectively stored in matrixes MDX, MDY and WIAU. |
