PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form framed characters having good balance by assigning arbitrary character data and frame data with a character processor, such as word processor. SOLUTION: The framed characters obtd. by synthesizing a character font of 24×24 dots as it is to a frame font of 24×24 dots are formed and registered if the swelling-out ratio of the font of the characters to the font of the frame is 0% at the time the frame of 24×24 dots and the font of the characters stored in a first font memory are assigned and superposed. If the swellingout ratio is 0 to 10%, the character font of 20×20 dots is formed for the frame font of 24×24 dots and the synthesized framed characters are registered. Further, if the swelling-out ratio is >=10%, the framed character obtd. by synthesizing the character font of 16×16 dots stored in a second font memory to the frame font of 24×24 dots are formed and registered. |
