PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the oxidation resistance at a high temp. in diffusion coating and vapor deposition coating ob platinum aluminide. SOLUTION: The diffusion coating of platinum aluminide is executed by growing the platinum aluminide on the outside surface of a superalloy substrates material of a nicket or cobalt system by a CVD operation. In such as case, the aliuminide diffusion coating is corrected by reforming of the platinum to incorporate silicon, hafnium and in some cases, zirconium and/or separate active elements (for example, Ce, La, Y, etc.) corresponding to the concn. from about 0.01wt.% to about 8wt.% of the (Ni, Pt) (Al, Si) layers added to the outside flanks of the coating. The respective elements of the silicon and zirconium from about 0.01wt.% to <=2wt.% are incorporated into the addition layers of the outside flanks in a special coating and if possible, an Hf/Si element ratio of maintained at about <=1. If Zr is used, the Hf+Zr/Si element ratio is specified to about <=1. |
