PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition for cosmetics, dermal preparations, sanitary preparations and pharmacological preparations, capable of limiting, reducing or preventing the migration of the composition and improved in the characteristics of the composition by compounding a specific cross-linked polymer. SOLUTION: This composition contains cross-linked (2-acrylamido-2- methylpropanesulfonic acid) polymer whose 90% is neutralized. The cross-linked polymer contains 90-99wt.% of units of formula I (X<+> is a cation or the mixture of cations; especially 10mol.% of the ctation X<+> is H<+> ) and 0.01-10wt.% of cross-linked units derived from at least one monomer containing at least two olefinic double bonds in an arbitrarily distributed state. The cross-linking monomer is preferably selected from a compound of formula II (R<1> is H, a 1-4C alkyl). The composition is useful for makeup cosmetics, foundations, brushers, eye shadows, lip rouges, mascaras, eye liners, etc.
