A ceiling type air conditioner is provided to couple rotation bodies having reels with rope caps in the one-touch manner for preventing the ropes from being released or entangled, and keep winding state of the ropes temporarily by using weights in the case of repair or exchange of parts. A ceiling type air conditioner includes a lifting unit, which includes a plurality of ropes connected to separate positions of a suction grill of the air conditioner, and a plurality of rotation bodies such as pulleys mounted to a main body of the air conditioner and formed with two reels to wind or rewind two of the ropes by the force transferred from a driving motor. Rope caps are coupled with the rotation bodies respectively in the one-touch manner to prevent the two ropes from being released or entangled. The main body is inserted by dumbbell-shaped weights(60) in a dumbbell-shaped groove(53) and the ropes are fixed to the center of the weight by fixing pins, so that winding states of the ropes are kept by the weight temporarily in the case of changing the suction grill with a new one or repairing the air conditioner.
