发明名称 FUSED ALUMINA-ZIRCONIA-SILICA-BASED REFRACTORY AND GLASS SMELTING FURNACE USING THE SAME
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fused alumina-zirconia-silica-based refractory useful for a glass smelting furnace hardly causing defects of a molten glass by including specific amounts of a tin oxide, an antimony oxide and an arsenic oxide having oxidizing actions at high temperatures therein. SOLUTION: This fused alumina-zirconia-silica-based refractory comprises 0.1-3wt.% of a tin oxide, an antimony oxide or an arsenic oxide alone expressed in terms of SnO2 , Sb2 O3 or As2 O5 , respectively or 0.3-5wt.% total amount of two or more thereof and is mainly used in a contact site of a glass smelting furnace with a molten glass or an upper structural part. This kind of refractory is usually produced in an arc electric furnace of graphite electrodes; however, defects developed in the molten glass due to exudation of a refractory matrix caused by inevitably contained carbon are reduced by adding the SnO2 , etc., having oxidizing actions at high temperatures thereto and preparing the refractory.
