PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate need for the knowledge of the internal structure and mechanism of a data base by arranging a data base bucket mechanism between a plurality of application programs and a plurality of data bases, and functionally isolating those application programs from the respective data bases. SOLUTION: The bucket mechanism includes an application interface 30 and a bucket engine 32, and the application programs 12 and data bases 20A-n are connected together through those application interface 30 and bucket engine 32. Then while the application programs 12 are provided with a complete data base function, the plurality of application programs 12 and the plurality of data bases 20A-n are functionally isolated. Consequently, the need for the knowledge of the internal structure and mechanism of the respective data bases 20A-n is eliminated.
