A fire extinguishing device for a car engine room is provided to sense a fire and the position of a fire and to be moved to a correct position of fire when a fire occurs in an engine room by electric spark. A fire extinguishing device for a car engine room includes a heat sensing portion(10), a fire extinguisher(40), a solenoid valve(30), a front/back transfer unit, a left/right transfer unit, and a micom(20). The heat sensing portion includes plural heat sensing sensors(10a-10n), and transfers temperature information by sensing the temperature inside an engine room. The front/back transfer unit, and the left/right transfer unit transfer the fire extinguisher to the left and right and backwardly and forwardly to be located on the position of fire with backward/forward motors(50,60) as power sources.
