<p>PURPOSE:To select a B-channel and to facilitate decentralization of traffic by providing a connection limit of a logic channel number able to be set by each B-channel in multi-stage and validating a higher degree connection limit by one when number of channels of low-order connection limits of each B- channel is more than the total sum of the connection limits of a low-degree of each B-channel for packet exchange. CONSTITUTION:A channel management section 12 references information S5 of a channel management table 14 by a logic channel assurance request S1 from an application program 11 to decide which of B channels is to be used and makes a dial request S2 to an ISDN protocol control section 13. When the logic channel number to be set is increased more than the total sum of connection limits of a low-degree acting effectively in each of B-channels for packet exchange is more than the decided logic channel number, the connection limit of higher degree by one is validated to select a B-channel. Thus, traffic decentralization is facilitated when the communication controller sets a new logic channel to utilize ISDN packet exchange.</p> |
