PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip parts supplying device which has a novel but inexpensive direction- changing mechanism, which takes in angular chip parts dropped along a parts dropping passage one by one and puts the parts in order with the right side up, by selecting the rotating direction of parts for changing the parts to the lateral direction, in accordance with the detected result of a sensor which is installed to the lower end of the passage to detect the right side or polarity of the parts, does not require any large space, and can be surely actuated by providing a hopper which moves in the vertical direction while the hopper houses the parts, the parts dropping passage having a through-hole which can pass the parts housed in the hopper one by one, and the sensor. SOLUTION: A rotationally driving mechanism 40 of a direction changing mechanism 30 is composed of a rotor which is fixed to a rotating shaft, provided with a recessed groove for taking angular chip parts 15 one by one and has magnetized magnetic poles at both ends and an electromagnet which is positioned to the outer peripheral area of the rotor and has a pair of magnetic poles arranged in the orthogonal directions and the mechanism 40 is provided with solenoid coils respectively provided for the paired magnetic poles. A control circuit rotationally drives the rotor by selecting the rotating direction of the rotor, clockwise or counterclockwise, by switching the currents supplied to the solenoid coils. Angular chip parts 15 are sent to a parts picking-up position P through lateral conduits 60 and 61 after the parts have been put in order with their right sides up. |
