<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively avoid the influence of noises and to surely detect the movement by accumulatively adding plural picture data before or after the comparison of plural picture data corresponding to continuous frames. SOLUTION: The movement detection circuit judges the overall movement of a digital video signal detected by plural movement detection parts 21 and switchably controls the movement of a selector circuit. A comparator 26 in each movement detection part 21 detects the existence of a change between the image data Da, Db of continuous frames and the direction of the change and an adder 27 adds the output data of the comparator 26 to output data from a register 28. The register 28 feeds back the output of the comparator 26 to the adder 27 and outputs the output to comparators 29, 30. The output data of the comparator 26 are accumulatively added in each block of the digital video signal by the adder 27 and the register 28, and when the pictures of respective blocks are changed in a direction increasing a luminance level, the number of pixels increasing the luminance level is detected.</p> |
