PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an on-vehicle navigation system which can communicate quickly with a specific partner. SOLUTION: In an on-vehicle navigation system, the position of an own vehicle is found on the basis of a GPS signal or on the basis of a signal from a carried sensor, the found position of the own vehicle is displayed together with map information, and radio waves are transmitted to a radio apparatus on another vehicle so as to perform a communication operation. In the on- vehicle navigation system, a station with which a communication operation can be performed is searched on the basis of received data from another station, a searched result is stored in a memory, and the name of the station which is read out from the memory and with which a communication operation can be performed is displayed on a display part in a communication operation. Then, on the basis of a display on the display part, a communication partner is selected, e.g. by touching a tough panel with a finger, a search processing operation is executed again regarding a station which is not selected, and its searched result is updated and stored in the memory. |
