PURPOSE:To provide a polyester resin composition for high-draw formed products of excellent mechanical properties, transparency and gas-barrier nature, comprising a polyethylene terephthalate resin and specific copolyester resin at specified proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin composition comprising (A) 80-95wt.% of a polyethylene terephthalate resin and (B) 5-20wt.% of a copolyester resin made up of B1: dicarboxylic acid unit consisting of 20-100mol% of isophthalic acid and 0-80mol% of terephthalic acid, B2: dihydroxyl compound unit consisting of 5-90mol% of dihydroxyethoxyresorcinol and 10-95 mol% of ethylene glycol, and B3: 0.05-1mol, based on 100mols of the dicarboxylic acid unit, of polyfunctional hydroxyl compound unit having three or more OH groups. A preform from this composition is put to biaxial draw forming by a factor of 3-4 in the machine direction, by a factor of 3.5-5 in the transverse direction, and 10.5-20 in area draw ratio, thus obtaining a high-draw hollow form. |
