PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a drive performing the reading and writing of a recording medium by reducing the height of the counter surface direction of a tracking optical system performing a tracking adjustment while optically detecting pits formed on the recording surface of the recording medium and also miniaturizing the whole shape of the drive. SOLUTION: A light projecting and a light receiving are performed with respect to a detection part P from a light projecting element 13 and a light receiving element 14 which are adjacently arranging by inclining an optical axis with respect to a lens axis while using one sheet of a lens having a shape in which one sides of a light projecting lens 17 whose surface of one side is made to be a cylindrical surface and a light receiving lens 18 are joined each other as a light projecting and receiving lens 16. Distortion to be generated because this optical system is made to be an inclined optical system is eliminated by making the lens surface to be an aspherical surface. |
